About The Owner

The vision to coordinate and plan all occasion events was first presented to Me (Cyntoria) in 1993. After years of educational preparation by obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership, Project Management Certificate, Mediator Certificate, Wedding & Event Planning Certificate, and Human Resource Management Certificate; the vision was ready to be fulfilled! Shekinah Wedding & Event Planning Services officially launched in October 2011 giving ALL Glory, Honor, and Praise to God and Profound Thanks and Appreciation to My Very Loving and Supportive Family… my husband and our four (now) adult children, their spouses, and my grandchildren!

My favorite inspirational saying “Grow where you are planted” is certainly not spoken without validation in my life. Because of the many opportunities granted to me in planning special events for my church community such as: breakfast fellowships, luncheons, banquets, annual celebration services, conferences, and fundraiser events, as well as planning baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties, weddings, and company holiday luncheons over the past 17 years, I am certainly rooted in my passion for event planning!

In memory of my loving and caring grandparents who raised me… “Thank You for instilling in me that the word CAN’T is not an option when there is work to be done”. Rest in Peace

From the moment you meet with us, we consider every detail of your event and understand how important it is to personalize your wedding and create a celebration that reflects your style and uniqueness.

Budget Consultation

We can work with any kind of budget whether big or small. We monitor our clients budget and revise any custom designs as needed to provide them with the most modern and professional look possible.


We will recommend, coordinate and offer an informal contract review for product vendors, ceremony site, reception site, musicians, photographer, limousine, florist, caterer, etiquette advice, hair and make-up artistry.

Rehearsal Attendance

Here at Shekinah Wedding & Event Planning Services  we value the opportunity to rehearse your special event. We want to make sure that every single person involved knows their role and responsibility.

Event Coordination
